Rita A. Verdun February 23, 1937 - June 7, 2024 ODELL - Rita A. Verdun, 87, of Odell, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:29 a.m. at OSF St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac. Services will be on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Odell. Officiating will be Father John Bosco Munjuni. Burial will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Odell. Visitation will be on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac is in charge of arrangements. Rita was born on February 23, 1937, in Dwight to Howard and Florence (Hatting) Burns. She married J. Kenneth Verdun on November 12, 1960. He died December 19, 1994. Surviving are her sons: Stephen H. (Kimberly) Verdun of Odell and Daniel L. Verdun of Chester, VA; daughter, Cathy A. (Jon) Fraher of Pontiac; and grandchildren: Margaret (Thomas) Bohnert, Molly Verdun, Ryan
